The Dubai police have detained Durim Bami for the second time and this time it seems that his extradition ticket to Albania has been cut. Some time ago he was arrested, but he tried to be released. This time the situation looks different and the extradition is a matter of days.
But his detention comes only a week after the arrest of Ilir Meta. It may be a coincidence, but there are old acquaintances and connections between them.
In Nikël, Bami is known for many crimes, but in the rank of the country it became known in 2015, when Tom Doshi, deputy at that time, declared that Ilir Meta had ordered his murder. According to Doshi, Meta had paid Durim Bami 500 thousand euros to eliminate him.
Tom Doshi also mentioned another name at that time, Fatjon Skenderi, who was assumed to have been the mediator between Ilir Meta and Durim Bami. Skenderi himself was interrogated by the prosecution at that time and admitted that he knew Kryemadhi and that they had met together once at the Kombinat.
So, here are the first signals of the connection of the Meta family with the world of crime. The second bomb came from Nuredin Dumani, who in one of his testimonies said that he heard that Arben Ndoka's brother was killed by order of Ilir Meta.
Durim Bami takes the stage again here. In the "Metamorfoza 2" file, a strong conflict between Arben Ndoka and Durim Bami emerges, as both wanted to kill each other. The reason Ndoka wanted to "get rid of" Bami was because he suspected that he killed his brother.
But how was Arben Ndoka's brother killed?
The event happened on December 9, 2017. He was found murdered in his car, in front of the apartment. Ndoka had been in a bar nearby and at around 10:00 p.m. he got into a "Mitsubishi" type vehicle to go to the apartment. But the killers were waiting in front of his villa. They found an unlit area and executed him, leaving him for dead. Ndoka was found dead in the morning by his family members. The incident was typical mafia-style, and the police at the time said they might be dealing with hitmen.
Was it political murder?
The suspicions at that time were that we could have a murder of a political nature. In the June 2017 elections, there was a gunshot wound in Lezha. Aleksandër Ndoka's son shot Florian Dushku, LSI activist. It was Ilir Meta himself who at that time, through a statement to the media, accused 3 people of the incident: Samuel Ndoka, Don Ndoka and Genc Hakica.
This event caused strong clashes between the brothers Ndoka and Ilir Meta. 6 months later, Aleksandër Ndoka was executed. Suspicions since 2017 were that the murder happened precisely because of clashes with LSI. There are even those who say that the brother of the former deputy slapped Monika Kryemadhi and did not forgive him.
Arben Ndoka himself spoke months later about his brother's murder. In an interview, Ndoka said that the authorities were afraid of solving the crime. " My problem is much bigger than property, it is the murder of my brother. A hat was found in which there was a strand of hair, no one has dealt with this matter, not even the Prosecutor of Serious Crimes who has not called me to ask for my contribution because maybe I would take them to the perpetrators by giving you clues and suspicions. Of course, my arrest is related to the murder of my brother, because the perpetrators are the ones who are causing me problems ", said Ndoka.
The fact that Durim Bami's name appears in the file as the killer of Aleksandër Ndoka and Nuredin Dumani states that Ilir Meta was the customer, seems to connect the threads.
Another event where Durim Bami appears is the murder of Artan Santos. He was investigated as being involved in the crime, as it is even said that the missing Enver Stafuka, before being eliminated, made a confession and identified the perpetrators.
Stafuka is said to have been one of the people on the motorcycle in the assassination of Santos, but mysteriously disappeared. Stafuka's family members have accused Durim Bami of being involved in the disappearance of their son, once a friend of theirs.
If Bami is extradited and decides to cooperate with justice, then it is expected that politics will be strongly shaken, as his connections with crime will come out. And the most endangered among this seems to be Ilir Meta. / Pamphlet
