Albanian-American lawyer Peter Lumaj has spoken out about former US ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim, who was reportedly under investigation in the United States. Kim was also reported to have been removed from office.
On the show "Breaking", Lumaj said that Yuri Kim continues to be on duty and is not under investigation.
He said that these claims have only come from two Albanian sources, while in the US there is no mention of such a thing.
According to Lumaj, the State Department is currently discussing whether Kim will stay or leave the position he has held.
" There are only two sources that are not official that indicate that Yuri Kim may be under investigation in the US. This is not true. Both sources are Albanian. If you contact the State Department, give them the information as a journalist immediately. There is no secret investigation.
"Yuri Kim continues to be in the position he has and it is being discussed whether he will continue to be in this position. He is in the Asia and Europe section. There is no investigation and these are statements made on social networks ," said lawyer Lumaj.
