The Council of Ministers has dismissed Ali Mysliu as prefect of the Elbasan District.
It is learned that former Deputy Minister of Energy Ilir Bejtja has been appointed in his place.
Ilir Bejtja, who will now be the prefect of Elbasan District, recently appeared before SPAK for two consecutive days (February 10 and 11). He was questioned by special prosecutors, but it is still unknown what for.
Bejtja was dismissed from his position as Deputy Minister of Energy on September 28, 2023, by a government decision, and was also a former member of parliament for the Socialist Party.

In accordance with Articles 100 and 114 of the Constitution and Article 5 of Law No. 107/2016, “On the District Prefect”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Interior, the Council of Ministers
DECIDED:
Mr. Ali Mysliu, prefect of the Elbasan District, is relieved of this duty.
Mr. Ilir Bejtja is appointed prefect of the Elbasan District.
This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
