Journalist Artan Hoxha spoke about the investigations against former minister Ilir Beqaj, which led to a clash between judge Erion Bani and prosecutors Kondili and Nakuçi.
He said that the case is still under investigation and until it goes to the basic court we don't know what charges could be brought against Beqaj. According to him, the judge can give the arrest in prison if the prosecutor requested, adding that at this moment in the case Rama cannot defend him.
" The security measure is a measure that is taken at a certain moment when the case is under investigation and the case has not gone to the trial court and until it goes there we do not know what other charges will be added to Ilir Beqaj. in case the two prosecutors committed a violation, it is the basic court that forces the prosecutor to file this charge for x violation.
The judge is asking why he doesn't arrest him, while the prosecutors say that we don't see it as reasonable. At this moment, only the security measure is being discussed, it is the same as in the case of Berisha. When it goes to the trial, then we can judge whether the prosecution has done the investigations properly or not.
Today we are at the part where prison arrest is being insisted upon, but the judge can grant prison arrest if the prosecutor requested it, and this is the problem that we are dealing with technicalities and not the big problem. Rama cannot protect Ilir Beqaj at this moment because he will save him from the security measures, but later what will he do ," said Hoxha.
