Following the accident in Durrës, where two children lost their lives, the State Police has suspended the director of the Durrës Local Police, Afrim Tafa.
The Deputy Director for Public Order and Security of the Durrës DVP, Chief Commissioner Zija Sulaj, as well as the Head of the Traffic Police Sector of the Durrës DVP, Chief Commissioner Kreshnik Skëndo, have also been suspended.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Professional Standards at the General Directorate of the State Police has launched a disciplinary investigation to assess whether or not there is responsibility among the ranks of Police employees for this case.
