The National Bureau of Investigation has launched an action in Elbasan today, following suspicions of electoral crimes.
Agents and prosecutors of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) remained on full alert to monitor any possible violations of the electoral process, as well as the movements of candidates for deputies.
Journalist Sokol Bregu has stated that the BKH action is related to denunciations, according to which criminal support is being exercised for a female Socialist Party candidate in Elbasan.
The suspicions are that it is related to the denunciation by "Pamphlet" that Shkëlzen Hasanpapa, a well-known figure in Elbasan's criminal circles, suspected in several cases of murders and rival eliminations, was involved in a serious incident of violence against Avni Mema, the driver of the former Minister of Interior.
According to reliable sources, the incident took place a few days ago in Elbasan. Hasanpapa is suspected of personally committing the physical assault on Mema on the orders of criminal groups that are supporting the candidate for deputy Sara Mila. The cause of the violence is thought to be the fact that Avni Mema has refused to support the candidate Mila and has engaged in favor of her opponents within the party.
" It is clear that there are several denunciations from the opposition that one of the SP ladies in Elbasan, for whom the exercise is being carried out, is being supported by crime, it remains to be verified, but I do not know if this signal made by the opposition leader or by the media has turned into a form of denunciation on the SPAK platform, I do not know this, because it has not been made public. SPAK has not announced so far that there is a denunciation for Elbasan for supporting a candidate there.
This is an election period where clashes occur not only between parties, but also within parties over the selection of candidates, given that the list of candidates is open in some districts.
"Elbasan has had great tensions, but this time there is not only a PD-PS fight, but also a fight within political groups to get the preference of candidates ," the journalist said in a show.
Avni Mema has been transported to the hospital in serious condition, where she is receiving medical attention for multiple bodily injuries. This event has caused a strong public reaction, adding to concerns about the brutal intervention of organized crime in the democratic process. / Pamphlet
