Votes were bought for Tom Doshi in Kukës, 2 cousins arrested!
The Special Prosecution Office, SPAK, has launched investigations into a group of people in Kukës, who are accused of active corruption during the elections in Kukës.
SPAK data shows that a group of people, through active actions, have promised and offered monetary sums to several citizens in the Kukës District, asking them to vote for a certain political entity participating in the elections of May 11, 2025.
By order of SPAK, Kalosh Peposhi was arrested 3 days ago and Gazment Peposhi, the acting headman of the village of Lusen, Kukës, was declared wanted, for buying votes in favor of the PSD. The two arrested persons are cousins to each other.
The police seized as material evidence the following monetary amounts: 205,500 new lek and 525 euros, a mobile phone (Iphone) and a vehicle (Mercedes Benz). The acting headman of the village of Lusen, Kukës, is being worked on to capture him.
Kalosh Peposhi and Gazment Peposhi have promised and offered monetary sums to citizens voting in the Ujmisht administrative unit, in the villages of Lusen, Matranxhë, Bushtricë of the Kukës district, to vote in favor of the political entity, the Social Democratic Party (PSD), a participating entity in the 2025 Assembly elections, committing elements of the criminal offense "Active corruption in elections", in collaboration, provided for by articles 328 and 25 of the Criminal Code.

SPAK registers criminal proceedings for active corruption during the elections in Kukës.
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has registered criminal proceedings no. 83/2025 for the criminal offense of "Active corruption in elections", committed in collaboration, as provided for by articles 328 and 25 of the Criminal Code.
The criminal proceedings were registered based on the reference material of the Kukes Local Police Directorate.
From the data provided, it appears that a group of people, through active actions, have promised and offered monetary sums to several citizens in the Kukës District, asking them to vote for a certain political entity participating in the elections of May 11, 2025.
On 10.05.2025, at 22:00, during an operation by SPAK and the Local Police Directorate of Kukes, it was possible to arrest citizen KP in flagrante delicto. The following monetary amounts were seized from this citizen as material evidence: 205,500 new lek and 525 euros, a mobile phone (Iphone) and a vehicle (Mercedes Benz). Citizen GP, acting headman of the village of Lusen, Kukes, has been declared wanted and efforts are underway to capture him.
The investigations have shown that citizens GP and KP were involved in active actions, promising and offering monetary sums to citizens voting in the Ujmisht administrative unit, in the villages of Lusen, Matranxhë, Bushtricë of the Kukës district, to vote in favor of the political entity, the Social Democratic Party (PSD), a participant in the 2025 Assembly elections, committing elements of the criminal offense "Active corruption in elections", in collaboration, provided for by articles 328 and 25 of the Criminal Code.
The Special Prosecution Office is continuing investigations to identify and hold criminally liable the persons who received the monetary sums in exchange for their votes for the political entity.
The Special Prosecution Office thanks the Kukes Local Police Directorate for its cooperation in conducting investigations related to this criminal proceeding.
