Analyst Fitim Zekthi commented on the current situation of the opposition in the country.
Zekthi said that Enkelejd Alibeaj can form a new party. He said that Alibeaj and Basha are in chaos. According to the analyst, Berisha's PD is not competing for power, but to have a political grouping in the parliament.
"Basha and Alibeaj's group are in chaos and weak and are trying to keep some kind of power alive. Alibeaj can create a new party. I see them in great difficulty. If we look at all politics, SP and DP are strong and want to dominate political life and the others are weak. I don't know how it will be resolved. The only hope is that SPAK will step up SP and DP.
I find them not very clear. I'm for clear and combative attitudes, to defend those ideas that you think. PD of Berisha is a subject that does not compete for power. They are a political group, that are isolated internationally, they attack SPAK. They have created an unpleasant narrative, they are unable to see the problem they have, they fail to look at this. They have anti-political ideas, which will take them by the neck and make Edi Rama win another mandate and it is something bad for the country. With this opposition, Rama unfortunately wins again", said Zekthi.
Speaking about the SP-PD agreement on Electoral Reform, Zekthi emphasized that this agreement is at the expense of Albanian citizens.
"Albanians must elect deputies. The approved Electoral Reform is an agreement that benefited the two major parties. The product proves a deal. Citizens are interested in the agreement. DP is interested in creating a solid parliamentary group. 2/3 of the deputies are elected from Berisha and Rama. The DP does not gain anything from this agreement, but the DP leadership gains by following this agenda, what it wants. Small parties lose from the Electoral Code. Rama uses the state, uses corruption money and therefore wins. The biggest losers are the Albanians, it doesn't matter the political fate of Berisha, Basha or Rama", said Zekthi for "News 24".
