Altin Çoku, the 39-year-old who has been arrested as the main suspect in the suicide of 27-year-old Sibela Abedini after he had published intimate photos on social networks, had turned TikTok into a source of income.
Criminalistics expert, Ervin Karamuço, said that Altin Çoku also blackmailed other girls.
One of the cases is a girl in Kurbin whom he blackmailed a few years ago, dousing her brother with gasoline if she did not have sex with him.
"This person has joined the ranks of influencers, who earn a lot of money from appearing on social networks, for this reason they insult and do everything. Explosions, burning cars, kidnappings due to conflicts started on networks. This character started his career in Kurbin, takes a minor, throws him in a garbage can, pours gasoline on him and tries to burn him by blackmailing the minor's sister to have sex. He was sentenced to 16 years at that time, but I don't know how he spent it", explained Karamuço.
Altin Çoku is accused of another criminal offense.
According to Karamuço, he caused a car accident resulting in loss of life.
"There was a car accident with loss of life, I don't know how he came out innocent. Two or three complaints being verified. He is a repetitive problematic person. When you are mentally ill and commit a criminal offense, the law provides for compulsory hospitalization in a psychiatric hospital. These people cannot be set free and cannot be using these networks, they are killing people. He has been heard threatening terrorist acts, murder, and no one from the police has kept him under surveillance. It could have been prevented given the previous crimes. Today we have these social networks out of control, the institutions themselves do not have a structure to catch in time such events that constitute criminal offenses.
In this particular case, it was blackmail to obtain money or sexual services. The deceased was in great need, the conditions were not good, she was in a serious psychological state. I used to do menial jobs, they exploit your needs and put you in a circle where you can't get out and you can't even ask for help", said Karamuço on Top Channel.
