Interior Minister Taulant Balla met today with his Italian counterpart.
Interior Minister Balla said that in this meeting it was agreed to strengthen the cooperation between the two police forces.
Balla said that he has asked the Italian Interior Minister for the membership of the Albanian traffic police in the European Traffic Police Association for road safety challenges.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that after a few days, in Tirana, a meeting of the technical group will be held to agree on all the details of the agreements reached between the two ministers.
The agreements are known to have been made in the field of Organized Crime, where 14 joint operations have recently been carried out for the crime asset confiscation agency.
According to Balla, crime knows no borders and the police must cross borders with cooperation.
The two police directors of Vlora and Durrës were also present for this meeting. This according to Balla, as Albania is expecting another tourist year.
Balla said that Albania, in addition to tourist attractions, will also offer maximum security for Italian tourists who have booked in Albania. Among other things, Balla said that this will be an innovation in terms of the blue perimeter between Albania and Italy.
