Journalist Andi Tela debated with the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, about the DP's accusation that former MP Agron Shehaj stole the party's database before leaving to create his own party.
Tela reminded Noka that Shehaj was against Basha, while Noka voted him in as mayor after losing the 2021 elections.
Excerpt from the debate
Tela: A month after the elections ended, when you gathered again and voted for Lulzim Basha as the leader of the DP, Shehaj had the right to take the database.
Noka: Let's go back to the chest.
Tela: Don't charge him unnecessarily, he doesn't belong there. He didn't steal anything.
Noka: He stole the database.
Tela: He didn't steal anything. He was an opponent of Lulzim Basha before he started. When you voted for Lulzim Basha for mayor, he was an opponent.
Noka: Where do you work?
Tela: Here at Ylli's.
Noka: Then can he interfere and tell you what's going on with the staff here? Don't interfere there because I know them there.
Tela: Why are you the only one who knows these things that are universally known?
Noka: Sir, he stole the database.
Tela: If he didn't steal it, he had it. The party gave it to him to enter the race against Lulzim Basha, who you supported, to become mayor after his defeat in 2021.
Noka: With all the respect I have for you, at best, you're wasting your time, at worst, you're lying.
