The numerous flows of the Seman River and the breach of the embankment in some segments have caused water to flood the agricultural lands of several villages. During midnight, water flooded 20 homes in the village of Hasturkas in Libofshë.
Residents say the flood came suddenly, leaving them no time to save their household goods or livestock.
"I have a livestock hall with 200 sheep. We couldn't get them out, the water came at us by force," said a resident with tears in her eyes.
"It's the first time there's been flooding in this area. I've been on alert all night," said another resident.
Some others express concern about the fate of their people with whom they have lost contact due to the isolation of the area from water.
"The army came to help, to get the cattle out. The water level is expected to rise further, there is no tendency to decrease. There is a lot of flow ," said another resident.
"Now we are no longer looking for livestock, now we want to save people. We have two people near the coast who we have lost contact with. They have been there for three days," another told "Report TV".
