Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço has revealed details of the meeting between the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani and the General Director of Police, Ilir Proda, a day after the arrest of the former president.
According to Karamuço, the meeting was not friendly at the beginning, as Duman did not agree with the way Meta was arrested. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Ilir Proda responded by requesting the participation of BKH agents in the arrests, to instruct them on how to implement arrest warrants.
"This meeting did not start very friendly, but ended as such. You should know something: about the arrest of Mr. Meta, the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office saw it on TV and it was not good for him. He saw it there and did not like the way it was managed, and for this reason the head of the State Police was called to a meeting. Because even in the press release they made later, they said that BKH was not part of it. This was a way of showing that we don't like it.
On the other hand, Mr. Proda responded and told him that the execution is our duty; if the prosecution has something to add, let it come and supervise, give the standards and we implement them. Then they agreed on the way to implement the future decisions, which are being discussed and are in line to be implemented very soon. They are political figures, and more of the left and the right," said Karamuço for "Euronews Albania".
