Investigative journalist Artan Hoxha has stated that there are serious compromising scandals in Albania, similar to what has been discussed for a long time in the United States of America, claiming that blackmailing film and photographic materials have been seized and are in the hands of the Special Prosecution. He was referring to the Ergys Agas footage.
Invited to the show "Çim Peka LIVE" on SYRI TV, Hoxha stated that these materials are not allowed to be made public and are "kept locked in a safe", as according to him, publication would shake political balances and open a crisis with consequences for national security.
In his statement, Hoxha openly stated that Albania is no exception to video blackmail schemes and that, according to him, part of the political and state elite has been kept under pressure precisely through compromising materials.
" Do we have scandals similar to what is happening in America? Yes. And they are there, they are in control, and fortunately the prosecution has them in control. Our special prosecution has them."
And we have characters here who have done the same thing, who have cured the vices of our politicians and rulers, who have made compromising, blackmailing films. So, they have them, they have photographed them, they have filmed them in order to have them, to hold them hostage. In order to blackmail them, to have them under control.
They even made it a condition that if you want to make a career and climb the state hierarchy, you have to make such compromises. And we already know this and talk about it at the tables. But we don't have the proof ," he said.
The journalist continued by claiming that in Albania there have been people who have "cured the vices" of politicians, rulers and officials, seducing, photographing and filming them, not for gossip, but to have them as an instrument of blackmail.
