Journalist Artan Hoxha has argued fiercely with the secretary of OMONIA, regarding the arrest of Fredi Beleri, the elected mayor of Himara, who was again left behind bars by GJKKO today.
In an interview for the show "Te Paespozuarit", Marin Suli mocked Hoxha regarding his statements about the Peshkepi massacre, which includes Beleri.
That was enough for Hoxha to explode at him, telling him that Albanians are not obliged to do what Qirjako Mitsotakis wants with Beleri.
Excerpts from the studio debate:
Marin Suli : We are telling you, if there is evidence, absolutely condemn these people. It cannot happen that you get a candidate two days before the elections. He doesn't run away or shoot movies because Mr. Hoxha watches soap operas with massacres.
Artan Hoxha : I see the tombstones of the martyrs of the homeland.
Marin Suli : May their souls shine, but they are not tombstones that are related...
Artan Hoxha : Their killers are free. I am not asking Greece for this, but I am asking Albania. Fatmir Shehu, martyr of the homeland!
Marin Suli : Bright soul! Who is to blame for this?
Artan Hoxha : He would hand over the weapon... Three courts have left him in prison.
Artan Hoxha : He was convicted in Albania and evaded justice. Not even Strasbourg gave him the right. You work and have Albanian passports, but you don't know the courts.
Marin Suli : Mr. Beleri is innocent, he closed SPAK...
Klodiana Lala : No, there is no innocence. Mr. Beleri has been charged by the Prosecutor's Office of Serious Crimes.
Artan Hoxha : Don't get into this in vain to put an end to the matter. Say better, I don't know the court.
Marin Suli : I know him. You are case by case, when you care...
Artan Hoxha : We are not obliged to do what Qirjako Mitsotakis wants. Give facts.
Marin Suli : What fact? What do you mean I have the evidence on my phone?
