Commenting on the developments in the Assembly of the Socialist Party, the lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said that Prime Minister Edi Rama, with the decision to compete in open lists, has challenged the opposition.
In an interview for Report TV, the lawyer said that Prime Minister Edi Rama has taken a risk with this decision for himself and his ministers, as he added that he has now passed the ball to Berisha, who, according to him, is unlikely to take the same action.
" Today's assembly can be called a challenge. Who was Rama's and SP's challenge? Rama openly and publicly challenged every political party competing in the elections, ensuring that his name will be on open lists. This is an open challenge to political opponents. Will Berisha be like Edi Rama, who will put his name and his loyalists at the bottom of the list and not on safe lists. Rama has thrown down his boxing gloves, giving a message that he is certain of victory. It is the second time he repeats it and this time the ministers will also decide. Placing the name of 8-9 in Durrës means that the people appoint 7-8 deputies is a risk that no party leader takes.
Unlike its political rivals SP, nearly 80% of the deputies' mandates change every 4 years. It is the party that changes the team the most. Two things are certain: death and Berisha's list. There are some deputies who will be for life. Instead of renewing the opposition, the opposite happens, the ruling party is refreshed. The opposition continues to shrink. It removes the possibility to maximize the vote ", said Spahiu.
