The summer season has put authorities on alert for the risk of fires, while the State Police warn of penalties for anyone who causes fires.
The Director General of Police, Skënder Hita, stated that persons who cause fires, whether intentionally or through negligence, will be held legally responsible and will face justice.
"The summer season is already starting and the risk of fires is much greater. The State Police has started work earlier in terms of taking preventive measures. We have started to contact the administrators of the administrative units, and a notification will be sent to all livestock farmers for the territory they have used, that in the event of a fire, they are responsible for that territory. We are determined to bring to justice all those who intentionally or negligently cause fires, endangering the lives and property of citizens. ", declared Hita.
The Head of the State Police emphasized that with the start of the summer season, the risk of fires increases significantly, so cooperation between the Police, the fire service, Civil Emergencies and local government remains crucial for rapid response and minimizing the consequences.
According to him, every minute gained in intervention can avoid serious consequences for life, property and the environment.
"In conclusion, I would like to express my appreciation for every firefighter who, often in difficult conditions and in the face of real danger, continues to perform his duty with dignity and high responsibility, together with the employees of the State Police. This is our noble mission, to serve citizens in every situation, risking our own lives," concluded Hita.
