The assassination in Lezha and the one in Lundë, where four people were injured, including two minors, who were sent abroad to receive more specialized medical care due to their injuries, has shocked the entire public opinion. It seems that the criminal groups still have unsolved "recriminations" and lives to take, but unfortunately, among them, bloody lives have been taken.
Although authorities are investigating three main leads, there are strong suspicions that the attack in Lundë is a mix-up of the target. Invited to the show "360 Gradë" former prosecutor Ervin Karanxha said that the crime, despite revenge, has never involved children in the conflict, so he says with conviction that this could be a mix-up.
" We have seen recently that people want to take revenge on an enemy and we always have consequences of third parties who are not related to the event. We have the case in "Don Bosko" where a woman was killed. We have two people who were stabbed to death, a man and a woman, in the Shkodra incident. We also have here that in my opinion in the second assassination we are dealing with a mix-up.
Even if they had a feud with their father, I can't imagine that no matter what they did, Albanian crime has not managed to deal with an 11-year-old child. She is the wrong target. Any Albanian criminal, no matter how feuding and harsh they are, would not deal with an 11-year-old child. I think we are dealing with a confusion of targets. And the "G Class", that they had, there were many such "Benzes" in Tirana, and in the Lundra area and they can be easily confused, plus the tinted windows. I think we are dealing with a confusion" , said Ervin Karanxha.
He also touched on the control over the territory of the Republic of Albania. Ervin Karanxha said that the State Police should install more cameras at intersections and have operational centers. According to him, the prosecution has not been pursuing any criminal perpetrator for a long time, to prevent a possible event, or after a crime to be able to handcuff the perpetrators.
"Now let's focus on prevention, the State Police must make a total change in the control of the state territory in the Republic of Albania. There must be a greater number of cameras at intersections and there must be operational centers. It has been a while since we have seen the police pursue the perpetrators in such events, we have the same mechanism, the perpetrators have fled ," concluded the former prosecutor.
