The deputy director of crimes in Tirana, Erion Ismaili, spoke about the event that shocked the country a few days ago in Tirana, where businessman Eduart Reçi was killed.
He was executed for property reasons by the two brothers Florjan Duka and Shkëlqim Duka, the latter who is also the shooter, is a judicial police officer at police station number 2.
"The local police department of Tirana has been notified about the case, the investigative team has been set up, the material evidence found at the scene has been administered. Film footage around the scene has been administered and other procedural and operational actions have been taken starting from the profile of the victim," he said.
Asked if he thought that his colleague would be involved in this murder, the deputy director of crimes said that they did not expect it, despite knowing that the perpetrator and the victim were neighbors.
He shows that the video footage showed the activity of the two perpetrators and the preparations for the execution, specifically 5 days before the murder.
Ismaili says that the author was positioned with a weapon at a certain time, from 7 in the afternoon to 11 in the evening. He added that in order to get the victim out into the yard, they threw firecrackers.
"We didn't mind, even though we knew they were neighbors. They have had conflicts together before. But this was not the only conflict the victim had. The turning point was the analysis of film footage. From the film footage, we found that the dynamics started on 8.11.2024 until the 13th when the victim was executed.
When I say dynamics, the suspect, the shooter was placed on a metal ladder from where there was a visual view from the victim's yard on the 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, only on the 11th we did not have it documented because the police officer has been on another duty. From the second floor of the staircase, from the film footage, we have seen a person who is positioned with a weapon that appears to be a weapon with binoculars, at a certain time during the night from 7 in the afternoon to 11 o'clock. To get the victim out yard, they threw firecrackers", said Ismaili for "Euronews Albania".
