The head of the Trauma Emergency, Gjovalin Bushi, has given details on the state of health of lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi, who was brutally assaulted yesterday.
The doctor said that his health condition remains serious but stable, and that the next 72 hours are very important.
" The lawyer appeared with a head trauma. In the first moments it was obvious, over time everything started to get heavy. He was very agitated and then he started losing consciousness. Under these conditions, we decided to intubate the patient.
From yesterday until today, the condition is almost stable, although it continues to be in a serious condition. An intervention was made by neurosurgeons, and today a decrease in edema was evident, and in these conditions there is no need for urgent surgical intervention. From the parameters it is normal, but it is expected how it will react in the hours later ", he said.
Since the morning of yesterday when he was raped, he continues to be intubated as he is in a declining state of health. Authors of the attack are Romario Tabaku, Elton Kasaj, Drivald Alija and Dorian Alia. The latter surrendered to the police yesterday.
