The President of the Republic Bajram Begaj has congratulated the great writer Isamil Kadare on his 88th birthday.

Through a message on social networks, the head of state writes that Kadare is a strong and beautiful bridge between us and the west.

"Long live and health to our great writer, Ismail Kadare! His wonderful literary universe conveyed Albania to the west, through Illyria, Balkan legends, Homer in Albanian epics and Aeschylus in the dramas of modern times. Kadare is a strong bridge and beautiful ours with the west", writes Begaj.
