Former prosecutor Ervin Karanxha spoke about former president Bamir Topi's appearance at SPAK yesterday regarding "January 21".
He said that senior officials have not been investigated for the January 21 case, while stating that a day after the event, Topi met with Lulzim Basha. According to him, Basha asked him to have influence over the Prosecutor General, Ina Rama.
"Mr. Bamir Topi was president when the event occurred. We are all aware of a book that was published in 2018. It also talks about January 21, it talks about the 22nd, about a meeting he had with Ina Rama. And on the 23rd, it talks about a meeting with Lulzim Basha. He was asked about this event. It was the book that led him to that point. It will be clarified whether Basha communicated with Ina Rama or not about this conversation. He must clarify. We have findings from the Supreme Court and the Strasbourg Court. No senior officials have been investigated. This is the beginning of the investigation. Something else will emerge from the investigation. The Prosecutor General had access to the case, this shows the actions that have been taken," Karanxha told "Abc News".
