"Gangs move freely", the journalist: Why SPAK should break down the

The journalist said that SPAK should break down the conversations on the SKY application more quickly, to identify all those State Police officials who may be involved in the conversations through this platform

Journalist Igli Çelmeta spoke about the selection procedure of the General Director of the State Police, as well as the police leaders in the districts.

Çelmeta said that the deadline for applications ends on September 18, while so far no applications have been made.

The reporter said he thought all applications would be submitted on the last day.

Çelmeta has suggested that in the whole process of appointing the General Director of the State Police, the Special Prosecution or SPAK should have a key role.

"SPAK should break down the conversations on the SKY application faster, to identify all those State Police officials who may be involved in the conversations through this platform", said Çelmeta.

He said that to become the General Director of the State Police you must have strong political support, while competitive processes are a kind of facade.

"I would call it a transparent process only if the hearing sessions of the applicants will be public", said Çelmeta. He said that if this process is required to be transparent, then let public hearings be held.

"The State Police organization has been at the service of politics and crime, while they have never been at the service of citizens. Why do gangs move freely? Because they have the support of the State Police. We have the crime-politics-police triangle," said Çelmeta.
