Gramsh residents at the mercy of fate; use buckets of water to put out the

Residents in Gramsh have been busy filling buckets with water and intervening themselves to put out the fire in the area, specifically in Harunas.

All army teams are focused on preventing the spread of flames towards the village of Nartë, which is more populated and if the fire were to spread there, it would spread further to the areas of Sulova and Cërrik.

7 firefighting vehicles, 2 helicopters, 300 volunteers and 50 specialized forces are operating to neutralize the flames.

However, the risk remains high for Harunas, Nartë, Shelcan, Bulçar, Snosëm, Sojnik, Probat and Grabova e Poshtme.

Authorities and emergency forces are continuing their efforts, but difficult mountainous terrain and high temperatures are complicating effective intervention.

Residents of the affected areas are urgently leaving their homes, taking only the most essential things.

Civil emergency helicopters are on standby to transport the injured to Tirana hospital. The situation is expected to remain critical in the coming hours.

Authorities have called for caution and respect for the instructions of emergency teams, requesting immediate evacuation to safe areas in Nartë, Skënderbegës (Gramsh) and Delvinë.

According to official sources, so far around 39 apartments in Gramsh have been burned in Skënderbegës.
