The situation continues to be alarming due to the fires in Gramsh. Currently, the situation is more difficult in the village of Menkollar, where there are three fire engines accompanied by numerous forces of the army, firefighters, volunteers and many residents of the area, as well as two helicopters that are constantly dropping water to prevent the spread of flames to the village of Nartë. If the fire goes there, it will pass to the area of Sulova and Cërrik.
In the village of Skënderbegas there is a reactivation of the flames and a neighborhood near the village high school is burning. Meanwhile, there is also a rapid activation of the fire source near the villages of Ermenj and Koshnica, in which the fire has come very close. The progress of the flames in this direction may pass towards the prefecture of Korça. A third operation has been launched in the operation.
The situation is also critical near the villages of Ermenj and Koshnicë, with the flames threatening to approach the border of Korça Prefecture. A third helicopter has been dispatched to the area. Large areas of forest and pastures continue to burn in the Dushku teq, while over the village of Kodovjat, near Posnovisht, the situation is calmer but remains under strict monitoring by forces on the ground.
Currently, 6 fire engines and around 55 army troops are engaged, while reinforcements from neighboring municipalities are expected. All local structures are on the ground, along with many residents and volunteers from the entire district.
