Journalist Blendi Fevziu, commenting on the words of the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, before the Berlin Process Summit for Fredi Beleri, said that Beleri has all the rights of the Albanian state and is being treated as such.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Fevziu added that Himara's chosen one cannot be treated as special from others just because Greece wants him.
" Today Greece must understand that we have over 6-700 thousand Albanian immigrants who are an integral part of Greek society, they are people who have made extraordinary contributions to the development of Greece and to the economic well-being of today's Greece. On the other hand, both countries are obliged to cooperate. Thirdly, all those circles that started raising nationalist spirit and fueling the debate of nationalism in the elections in Himara are wrong. It is wrong for Greece, it is wrong for Albania. Usually the factorization of local elements, as it happens with the Serbs of Kosovo, as it also happens with a part of people in Himara, are banal factorizations that do not deserve to be taken into account.
Beler has all the rights and the Albanian state has all the obligations to meet him every condition that is met for Albanian citizens and Beler is an Albanian citizen with Greek nationality, despite the fact that he may also have a Greek passport. He is an Albanian citizen born in the Republic of Albania, endowed with Albanian citizenship, but he cannot be treated separately just because Greece wants him ", said Fevziu.
