An immigrant from Germany spoke at the anti-government protest, which today marked its 51st day.
Accompanied by his young daughter, he said he had traveled to Albania to join the protesters and express his dissatisfaction with the government.
In his speech, the immigrant confessed that he left the country in 2015 as an asylum seeker, stating that at the time of departure he had only 2 euros in his pocket. According to him, the lack of hope for a future in Albania was the reason that pushed him to emigrate.
"When I left in 2015, I took my 7-month-old son with me, while my daughter was born outside of Albania. I only had 2 euros in my pocket. Today I came here to tell Rama: resign, because you killed our hope," declared the citizen.
The immigrant also focused on his family, saying he wants his children to grow up with love for their country.
"We must teach children patriotism. Albania belongs to everyone and we must respect it," said the protester.
At the end of his speech, he recalled the difficulties of emigration, saying that he arrived at Hamburg airport with "2 euros and 30 cents" and repeated his criticism of the prime minister.
"When I landed in Hamburg I only had 2 euros and 30 cents. I was forced to leave, but I believe that one day all those responsible for this situation will be held accountable," said the immigrant.
The protest against the government has been ongoing for 51 days, while organizers have announced that the rallies will continue in the coming days.
