The member of the leadership of the Democratic Party, Aldo Bumçi, says that SPAK's moves for Sali Berisha are against the law.
In "Top Story", Bumçi said that the country has entered a dictatorship, proven by the election reports, and according to him, SPAK is now seeking to replace a measure that has not received the approval of the Assembly.
“Albania is under dictatorship. In this country where OSCE/ODIHR says that the voters are threatened, the use of the state structure, the obtaining of personal data, the buying of the vote. The OSCE says that the SP took advantage of the fact that there is no separation of powers. In a country where you have this report on the elections, is it a democracy or a dictatorship. In the opposition parliament, no procedure is recognized, the basic constitutional right is not recognized. What kind of country is this when these rights are not recognized to the opposition. According to the election report, we do not have democracy, there is no more opposition in the parliament.
There are no investigative commissions. This did not happen when we were in government. The point is this. What Berisha should do, the SPAK court and Edi Rama have violated the Albanian constitution with both feet, which says that the approval of the Assembly is required for arrests and in any form of conditional freedom. The constitution says in any form and they have been applied to Sajmir Tahirit. This constitutional right is written in black and white, and has precedent applied. SPAK had only one option. SPAK demands the replacement of a measure that has not received the approval of the Assembly", said Bumçi.
