The opposition blocked the road in front of Tirana City Hall, the "Zogu i Black" Roundabout, the "Elbasan Street", the "Willson" Square Roundabout and the "Pallati me Shigjeta" road.
After about 3 hours of blocking the key points of Tirana, the opposition has closed its protest. Unlike previous protests, today's started with violence and clashes between protesters, MPs and police officers.
The opposition blocked the road in front of Tirana City Hall, the "Zogu i Black" Roundabout, the "Elbasan Street", the "Willson" Square Roundabout and the "Pallati me Shigjeta" road.
There were strong clashes at all the key points of the blockade, but the loudest were the ones on "Rruga e Elbasani" where the protesters were directed by Flamur Noka, who had debates and direct clashes with the police.
Also, at the roundabout at "Willson" square, where Gazment Bardhi was located together with Luan Baçi and Tedi Blushi, there were strong clashes.
At one point, the police were forced to use tear gas at this point to disperse the crowd and then activated the autobot, which released pressurized water to finally disperse the protesters to "Willson" square and completely free the axis. The rest of the protestors together with Gazment Bardhin headed towards Tirana City Hall, to join the other group of protestors there.
Meanwhile, at the "Zogu i Zi" Roundabout, the police managed to push the protester aside to make it possible to partially open traffic in that part. The same thing happened with the protesters in front of the Tirana City Hall, where the police used a water cannon to disperse the protesters a few minutes after the protest started.
In the area of the Palace of Arrows, there were also clashes between officers and protesters who blocked traffic in that part of Tirana.
Despite the fact that the police in some moments managed to disperse the protesters and clear the streets, they regrouped again, blocking the traffic of vehicles. Despite the fact that at first there was violence and clashes, as the minutes passed the situation calmed down and the police did not try to intervene to disperse the protesters. Meanwhile, on the other hand, it is worth noting that there were some accompanied by the police.
After the end of the protest, the normal circulation of vehicles started, however, the protest caused long queues of cars for hours.
The DP leaders, after dispersing the protest, declared that they will return again with other gatherings and civil disobedience.
