New cases of poisoning were reported this Sunday, a day after 30 people went to the emergency room in Bulqiza, after being poisoned by contaminated water.
There are still no data on the cases reported today, while yesterday the residents of the administrative unit Gjorica presented themselves at the health center with symptoms of poisoning and after receiving first aid, they left for their homes.
In relation to the incident, the Police immediately set up an investigative team and in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of the AKU, and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is intensively following the work to fully clarify the circumstances of the event.
The police clarifies that it has been put into motion only now, since it was not notified by the residents or the staff of the health center about the incident.
"We clarify that neither yesterday nor today, the Bulqiza Police Station received any notification from the residents or the staff of the health center" - the police announcement states.
It is expected that the true cause of the poisoning will be revealed by the analyses, which will confirm that the poisoning is from water or some virus.
