The brother of Melisa Trëndafili, the young woman who was burned with gasoline by her husband, has told the sad story of his sister.
In an interview for the show "Me Zemër te Hapur" on News24, he said that Bledar Trëndafili had gone into debt and had left everything to Melissa, causing the latter to go into depression.
According to the young woman's brother, Bledari was also convicted in Greece for drugs.
Excerpt from the interview:
Melissa's brother: Our parents separated at an age when we were young. Life has been difficult, but we made it. Today my sister is 31 and I am 29. My sister lives in Korça with her mother, while I live in Tirana. The sister has been married for 10 years.

Melissa's brother: It was acquaintance with love, the sister was 21 years old at the university.

Melissa's brother: Then he fled to Greece, his sister was pregnant, he was convicted in Greece for drugs. The sister lived with her mother with her husband. When he got out of prison, he found his 4-year-old son.
Then they came here to Tirana, with the help of their family, their ex-husband who is in America. They opened a business.

Melissa's brother: I have had no communication. We all knew the situation. My mom was the one who helped him in prison. The sister was the one who did not want them to be separated.
Sister having our concern not to bother us. He kept them to himself. He consumed drugs, alcohol, squandered all the money, he was not capable of anything. Psychological violence yes, but physical violence no. He also consumed cocaine, his sister found him drugged at home.
He owed them a lot of money and left, hanging up the phone. The sister went back into depression from this, continuing with medication.
