
During the last few hours, snowfalls have been recorded at altitudes above 1200 meters in the southeast of the country, mainly affecting mountainous areas. The most affected are Maja e Bigla in Dardhe and the Shtylla area up to the peak of Mashkullore, where the snow thickness varies from 5 to 10 centimeters.
Road maintenance contracting firms are on the ground and are working to clean and restore traffic on the roads, including the Dardha road.
Snow has been reported in almost all of the deep mountainous areas of the region, but so far no problems with road traffic or emergency situations have been identified. The responsible structures are continuing to monitor the situation.
