Journalist Ferdinand Dervishi has reacted strongly to an unusual phenomenon that erupted after the murder of judge Astrit Kalaja in Tirana.
On the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, Dervishi denounced the fact that various Albanians have opened a "GoFundMe" account to raise money to help the suspected perpetrator of the murder, Elvis Shkambi.
" The stupidity has gone so far that they've opened a 'GoFundMe' to get him a good lawyer."
So, they are helping a murderer have as many defense options as possible, as if he were a national hero.
So far, about $10,000 has been collected on the donation platform, with one donor donating $1,000, while a total of 50 people have contributed to this initiative.
"There are those who consider this man a victim of the system, a symbol against injustice," Dervishi said.
