Journalist Lorenc Vangjeli spoke about the latest developments in the Assembly and the situation with the opposition, which has its two leaders under arrest.
Invited to "Report TV", Vangjeli emphasizes that the voice of reason convinced the opposition to return to parliament.
"He was convinced by the voice of reason. This is the right way. Boycotting the parliament is an anomaly. This is frequent, not noticeable. We are a parliamentary republic. Leaving the opportunity to talk, to argue, is like cutting the branch you are sitting on. Look at the main accusation that they raise this time, the government has captured SPAK. It is the most sensational part of justice. You leave the trenches of a power where you are a party, an absurdity greater than the human mind can produce ," Vangjeli said.
As for the majority, for Vangjeli, she would be interested in the opposition being out of parliament.
" The majority would be interested in the opposition being out of parliament. See the comparison with previous budget sessions. This time it's going 48 hours. Listening to one speaker from the other, the contrast is so great. The vast majority there do not understand that the right delegated by thousands of citizens is also knowledge, it would be good if they asked and were interested before speaking. The same soup served year after year. Some of them do not know the multiplication table. Do not even do any intelligence test. Unfortunately, other qualities are required, which are incompatible with the decriminalization law. The opposition was once more radical. The result was not what was requested ," he said.
According to Vangjeli, Berisha was able to remove Basha from the leadership of the DP, but unable to return this party to power. Meanwhile, the individuals in the big parties are simply matryoshkas of the president.
" The bad luck of one individual is affecting the bad luck of the entire opposition. A completely different strategy would be needed. There were such signs. Berisha was the only myth to uproot Lulzim Basha, but unable to bring PD to power. A part of them, of the women and men in that hall, think that they will be on the lists or not. What comes down, with rare exceptions, is like a matryoshka with the president. Or as if the president is a big mirror that breaks into pieces ," he added.
Vangjeli went on to say that we have turned into a savage society that rejoices when people go to prison, a society that seeks revenge and revenge. According to him, we must separate ourselves from this Bolshevik and Ottoman mentality.
" We are giving life to a wild society. 360 thousand Albanians have gone to the prison branch. First, going to prison produces tomorrow's criminal, prison to prison and everyone says everyone should go there. Revenge, revenge rots there. But these angels of darkness who say prison, these are the people who will be fished out tomorrow when they get out of prison. Prison is not the final station. There are endless measures. No one thinks like that. Our inner wildness says prison. Hypocrites say this.
Raise your head to that gentleman's balcony, he too should be investigated at large. And this is a revolution in mindset to separate from our Bolshevik and Ottoman mindset. The whole society is a co-sharer in this. A revolution in mentality is required. Politicians are not sad, they are scared. Giving justice and punishing are two different things" , he concluded.
