The competition procedure for the selection of the General Director of the Republic Guard has not been finalized with the announcement of a winning candidate.
The news is announced through an official notification sent to the participating candidates, explaining that the process was carried out in accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Interior No. 102, dated June 5, 2024, but after completing all stages of verification and evaluation, the selection of a candidacy was not achieved.
According to the announcement, the procedure was followed in full compliance with the legal and sub-legal framework in force, respecting the principles of legality, transparency, impartiality, meritocracy and equal opportunities for all candidates.
The authorities thank the candidates for their participation and interest, while no additional details are provided on the concrete reasons that led to the non-finalization of the process or whether a reopening of the procedure is expected at a later stage.
"Following the competition procedure for the selection of the candidate for the position of General Director of the Republic Guard, conducted in implementation of the Instruction of the Minister of Interior No. 102, dated 05.06.2024, we inform you that, after the completion of all the foreseen phases of verification and evaluation of the candidacies, the procedure has not been finalized with the announcement of a winning candidacy.
"The process was conducted in full compliance with the legal and sub-legal framework in force, guaranteeing respect for the principles of legality, transparency, impartiality, meritocracy and equal opportunities. We thank you for your participation and interest shown," the announcement sent to the candidates states.
