The hearing at the Special Court against the former mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro, and two other former officials, where the defense was expected to be presented and the court's decision announced this Wednesday, failed.
The GJKKO fined Vezir Gjikoka's legal defense attorneys 10,000 lekë, because when the court set today's court date, the defense attorney expressed his agreement and did not refer to other court hearings that would make it impossible for him to appear at this hearing.
Judge Ardit Mustafaj appointed a lawyer primarily for Jerasimo Bashi, since his defense attorney did not appear. By decision, lawyer Artan Simoni, a member of the Tirana Bar Association, was appointed.
Pranvera Doçi, a member of the Tirana Bar Association, was appointed as the main lawyer for Vezir Gjikokaj.
The court adjourned the session to March 12 at 11:00 and suspended the detention terms for Jorgo Goro as well as the terms of the "house arrest" measure for Vezir Gjikoka.
