A serious incident has been reported by lawyer Arben Llangozi, who accuses the Saranda Police of inaction after the rape of a lawyer in Ksamil.
According to him, lawyer Albana Husi was attacked while performing her duties, in her capacity as a creditor, while she was in the field in Ksamil. The incident, according to the complaint, occurred in full view of police officers, but without any reaction from them.
" Lawyer Albana Husi is attacked in the middle of her duty, in front of the police, and no one is stopped, no one is escorted, no one is held accountable ," says Llangozi.
He adds that the lawyer is currently in the Saranda hospital, while according to him, the case has been kept secret and has not been made public by the authorities.
The lawyer describes the situation as a serious institutional failure and an alarm signal for the safety of legal professionals.
" When the uniform that is supposed to protect the law stands as a spectator in the face of crime, it ceases to be a force of order and becomes a shield for violators ," he emphasizes.
According to Llangoz, the fact that a lawyer is raped because of her duty and there is no reaction from the police constitutes a dangerous precedent.
" This is not just a case of violence, but a clear message that the law does not protect you if those who should enforce it choose to remain silent ," he says.
