Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu, commenting on former Prime Minister Sali Berisha's confrontation with the judiciary, said that the latter is afraid of the leader of the Democratic Party.
On the "Frontline" show on Report TV, Spahiu said that justice is intimidated and powerless in the face of the leader of the Democratic Party.
"Politically, I am one of Berisha's strongest critics, and in addition, I say as a lawyer for 33 years, in the most difficult sectors of the system, the court's decision in this matter is legal, no one should question it.
He has managed to win all his battles with justice, not because of his innocence, but because justice fears him.
"It is not normal and for this reason the US has declared him non grata, because Berisha has used his power to exert pressure on justice. I am convinced that Berisha will again, by exerting pressure, win future battles with justice," said Spahiu. He added that Berisha has chosen to denigrate critics by silencing everyone else.
"I think that the way in his style, Berisha's political typology, not only in relation to justice, to opponents, has chosen to denigrate critical voices to silence everyone else. His superiority has been that in a small village like Albania where everyone knows each other, they are blackmailable," he added.
