Lawyer Ylli Manjani said that, despite the political rhetoric against SPAK and its leader, support for Dumani increased by 10% before the elections.
Manjani said that Altin Dumani became the most important person before the May 11 elections and, arguing on this, called Rama's positive statements towards Dumani a good political tactic on the part of the prime minister.
" Support for SPAK, despite the political rhetoric that attacked it, increased by 10%. Justice should be left to work as it knows how to work, and I am against any kind of political declaration towards justice. Altin Dumani became the most important person in Albania right before the elections. Now, what do you think, should a politician confront Altin Dumani or support him? Of course, he should support him and say that he is a good man, a very good man, of course. This is pure tactics, absolutely pure ," said Manjani.
Manjani also added that the democratic leader Sali Berisha has no other choice and should follow Rama's example, as one cannot always continue with negative rhetoric towards SPAK. He expressed his belief that Berisha and Rama are in agreement on reforming and changing justice standards, and said that this will become a reality with the arrival of the new parliament.
" What do you think, Sali Berisha will continue with the Dumani story? There is no more, there is no more going on with this, because Berisha knows it very well. What we say at this point, even Mr. Berisha understands that it is not Dumani's business, but that they are separate jobs. What parliament and politics should do, they should do. And I have good news that Edi Rama and Sali Berisha are in agreement on the issue of justice. For me, it is good news. One calls it a standard, the other says reform ," said Manjani, invited to the show "NOW with Erla Mehilli.
Manjani said that, in his opinion, Rama is telling the truth, that the prime minister is the one who has carried out the justice reform, and the lawyer emphasized that in this regard, Rama is sincere and he believes this.
" Edi Rama is telling the truth, he has done the justice reform. He is sincere in what he says, in this part he is telling the truth that I did the reform because it works. If I wanted it, it wouldn't work, Americans come and go, and it works. The Albanian Parliament must take responsibility for some things that are not going well and this is what the parliament must do. Edi Rama alone cannot do this, nor Sali Berisha. Only they say this in the campaign ," Manjani concluded.
