The "Gener 2" company has published the final price list for crossing the Thumanë-Kashar highway. From January 4, the application of the tariff started and unlike what was stated at the beginning, the tariffs are really salty for a 21 km long axis.
Moreover, it is not at all in the quality of a highway, where it was initially declared that it would move at 130 km/h. There are damages in many parts, especially in the first lane where heavy tonnage cars move.
According to the prices published by "Gener 2" of Bashkim Ulaj, motorcycles with cylinders over 250 cubic centimeters will pay 170 Lek, while vehicles 250 Lek or 2.5 euros. For trucks, buses and vehicles with 2 or three floors and a height of over 2.2 meters, a fee of 620 ALL has been applied. Meanwhile, vehicles with 4 or more axles will pay 870 lek or, at the exchange rate, 8.8 euros.
The concessionaire company has also published the rates for specific segments of this highway, such as Rinas-Thumanë, Kashar-Thumanë and Kashar-Rinas.
Thus, for the Kashar-Rinas axis, the price starts from 50 lek for tricycles, or 0.6 euro, up to 270 lek (0.6 euro) for trucks or other vehicles with four or more axles.
For the Kashar-Thumane axis, the rates start from 170 lek for tricycles, or 1.8 euros, up to 870 lek (8.8 euros), for trucks or other vehicles with four or more axles.
There are toll booths in every country in the world. But in Thumane-Kashar there are two problems. The first 21 km of road could well be built by the state itself and the fees would go to the budget. No one would be against it. Second, the road has no quality. In many parts, the asphalt has fallen and paying 2.5 euros is extortion. / Pamphlet
