Author and journalist Eljan Tanini has been appointed the new director of the Central State Film Archive. He will replace Marinela Ndria, who previously headed the institution.
The news was announced by the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, through a post on his social network Facebook, where he wished success to the new director of AQSHF.
" Visual artist, journalist and author of projects that combine art with collective memory, Eljan Tanini comes to the helm of AQSHF with a special profile and an early commitment to telling the story of Albania through history, nostalgia and the visual archive ," Gonxhja writes on Facebook.
Jonid Jorgji has also been appointed president of the National Center of Cinematography and will replace director Eol Çashku, who was dismissed by government decision at the end of May this year. The decision was made at today's government meeting.
Jorgji graduated in film directing and since 2022 has been heading the Agency for Creative Industries at the Municipality of Tirana.

DECIDED: Jonid Jorgji is appointed president of the National Center of Cinematography. This decision enters into force immediately ," the decision of the Council of Ministers states.
