Analyst Fatos Lubonja commented on the case of the arrest of Fredi Beleri and the incitement of protests in Himare, as he declared that the government has eliminated the elected mayor of the coastal city "in an arrogant way" due to "robberies in the south".

According to him, it was requested that the public opinion be brainwashed by arousing nationalist and anti-Greek feelings with Beler's past.

"Here they want to brainwash the public opinion about Beleri to arouse anti-Greek and nationalist feelings. That is not the issue here. The case of Beler is the case when the government, worried about the robberies it is doing in the south, has an interest in putting this out of the game and has acted arrogantly to eliminate it in this way", said Lubonja for "News 24".
