Journalist Klodiana Lala spoke about the SKY application and the disclosure of conversations or interceptions that were made by this application.
Lala told "News 24" that this is just the beginning and warned that with the continuation of the investigations, there may be other big events.
"Operation Metamorfoza showed us how organized crime had become one with the State Police, with justice officials, but also strategic investors were involved in serious crimes. The SKY app is a special phone and not everyone can use it and it has a dedicated line that users claimed would never be tracked by the authorities.
If I'm not mistaken, there are about 8 thousand users from Albania who are people of organized crime, business, politics, that is, people who have economic opportunities. So there are people who have the financial power to have it. But it's definitely just the beginning of what this app will bring. The Special Prosecutor's Office is disclosing dozens of bribes that came from foreign authorities, Belgian, French and Dutch. It was the Belgians who broke it down for the first time.
Are all of these 8,000 users criminals? I cannot say this because it is being investigated there. The Special Prosecutor's Office is trying to connect the conversations with concrete facts. In the case of Gjin Boriç, the person was killed and the place coincided with the description made in the application, so many things were discussed there. Operation Metamorfoza used third names due to the fact that apparently no elements of the criminal offense have been found so far. But those who thought they were untouchable were betrayed by that platform they considered so protective. But a lawyer told me that if it continues in this way, half of politics will go to prison", said the journalist Lala, among other things.
