On Sunday at the SP Congress, Prime Minister Edi Rama publicly announced the changes in his government cabinet. Changes that have been widely discussed by public opinion, especially the appointment of Elisa Spiropali as Speaker of the Parliament, instead of Lindita Nikolla.
Regarding these movements, analyst Mentor Kikia said that Spiropali's appointment to this post is justified, stemming from her engagement in political debates in parliamentary sessions.
"We have now publicly accepted the version that Lindita Nikolla withdrew from her position as Speaker of the Parliament for health reasons, as she herself stated. The appointment of Spiropali at the head of the Albanian Parliament is undoubtedly a justified action within the socialists, since Spiropali is the most active deputy in the Parliament. In the motivation he gave for his election, Rama also affirmed the fact that she had held more than 50% of the political debate in the Parliament and as such has been promoted to the position of the Speaker of the Parliament, he said.
However, the analyst stated that another position in the government cabinet could have been determined for Spiropali, as according to him the Speaker of the Assembly should be a person who has control and withstands pressure from both political parties, comparing this with her energetic and charismatic character. of Spiropalus.
Even though the Speaker of the Parliament is already looking for another approach in relation to politics and in relation to fellow MPs in the hall, who cannot and should not be divided, into my party and other parties. So Spiropali will have to come out of himself already, beyond the charisma and that energetic man who answered everyone and responded with everyone and really carried a great weight in the political struggle and in the political debate within the Parliament. However, I think that there could have been another political position for her in the party and not the Speaker of the Parliament. But the speaker of the Parliament is looking for a man somewhat more restrained and a man able to withstand the political pressure coming from all sides,' Kikia said.
