Faik Basha, the former head of the Peqin prison, says that the Durrës police should have organized the investigation a little differently for the horror event, where the children allegedly killed their father, Pëllumb Meta.
He said that the children should not be arrested, but should be monitored or provoked by the police, in order to reveal the communication they would have with each other about the statements and the defense they would make for themselves.
"By keeping them under surveillance, they could find out who the author is, through discussions. They would discuss the defense they would make, the author they would blame and how they would disguise themselves", he said while talking about "Breaking" on Top Neës.
Asked if the children, who are in custody, are at risk of any retaliation, he said that it would be good if the police kept them in separate facilities and distant from other prisoners.
"It is not excluded the possibility that someone from the other prisoners will undertake any act of violence or even further, against these persons. Detainees, or prisoners with such a problem, should be treated separately and kept in limited contact with other prisoners", he said.
