African heat waves have swept across Albania in recent days, pushing temperatures up to 41°C in some areas, mainly in the center and south of the country. The scorching weather has created travel difficulties and increased the risk of health problems for the elderly and children.
But according to meteorologist Lajda Porja from MeteoAlb, this situation is expected to change. She told Vila24 that starting on Wednesday there will be a gradual decrease in temperatures, thanks to the penetration of cooler air masses from northwestern Europe.
Although a cool breeze is expected, temperatures remain summery, while nights and mornings will feel cooler, bringing relief from the extreme heat that has gripped the country.
