The action to remove businesses that have occupied public spaces in the Lungomare area in Vlora began at midnight, following the 48-hour ultimatum given by Prime Minister Edi Rama via social media.
As seen in the footage, inspectors and municipality representatives intervened overnight to dismantle the structures and vacate the spaces occupied by businesses, in accordance with the government's request to return these spaces to the public and tourism.

This action is part of a broader action to systematize and regulate public spaces, ensuring that they are accessible and functional for citizens and visitors. According to information, Prime Minister Rama will return to Vlora tomorrow, where he will hold a second meeting with local authorities in the municipality, as well as an on-site inspection to closely monitor the implementation of this order.
This action has brought mixed reactions from businesses, but for the authorities, it is an important step for the regulation and development of the area, especially during the tourist season.
Rama calls on the owners and managers of the utility line to remove what he calls barricades themselves and to cooperate with the Vlora municipality authorities and the Territorial Development Agency on a new design. He adds that the government will gladly support it.
We recall that Rama has reacted harshly on social media for the vacating of public spaces. He even warned of fines and criminal prosecution for all illegal occupants.
