Just one day after appointing and then dismissing the lawyer Artan Simoni to legally defend former Prime Minister Sali Berisha in the courtroom, another lawyer who is used by SPAK to receive the statements of the penitents appeared in the special court today.
It is about the lawyer Rabije Cenalian, who has signed all the statements of the associate of Justice Henrik Hoxhaj, accused of a series of serious events.
Now this Associate Justice and the Minutes signed by lawyer Rabije Cenalia have not been taken into consideration by SPAK, since in July 2023 the three prosecutors decided to remove the status of Associate Justice Henrik Hoxhaj, because he has not been honest in three criminal events.
But this morning, Henrik Hoxhaj's lawyer appeared in court to mainly defend the country's former prime minister, Sali Berisha.
Her appearance was made in front of the cameras, while the day before the court appointed and then expelled the lawyer Artan Simoni, who turns out to have signed the minutes of the declaration of four SPAK convicts, such as Klevis Alla, Nuredin Dumani, Luftar Reçi and Skerdi Tasi.
SPAK and the court have focused precisely on these lawyers, because none of the other lawyers agrees to appear in court to defend, even mainly, the former prime minister Berisha, to whom SPAK has assigned the security measure "obligation to appear ” and “ban on going abroad”.
Sali Berisha is accused by SPAK of "passive corruption at high levels", related to the privatization of the former "Partizani" sports complex in Tirana.
While his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, has been arrested for the same charge and is in prison, and the builder of "Homeplan", Fatmir Bektashi, is under obligation to appear./Ora News
