The parents of the 9-day-old baby, who died after a heart attack, have reported to the director of the Health and Welfare Center, Albana Fico.
The maternity director E. Demaliaj has also been reported for not creating conditions for people suffering from heart problems.
" The hospital lacked the right medicines and equipment. The boy had transposition of the heart vessels and needed immediate surgical intervention. There was neither an operating room for children nor specialists.
The medicine that could be treated temporarily was missing in both the QSUT and the maternity ward. The boy was operated on in the cardiology ward. The operation lasted 5 hours and was successful and the doctor told me that he had to urinate to clean himself. The hospital did not have the proper equipment and this made the boy's condition worse. The boy died at 05:00 on August 25 ", says the baby's father.
