Vorioepirot fighter and ND MEP candidate, from the prisons of Rama, appeals to Greek voters to support his battle.
Fredi Beleris, the Greek from Vorio Epirus, imprisoned in Albanian prisons by the Rama regime, elected mayor of Himara and European Parliament candidate for the Nea Dimokratia (New Democracy) party, with an exclusive statement on a Greek portal, seeks the vote of the Greeks to break the shackles and the election in the European Parliament, for justice to the oppression that the Greeks of Vorio Epirus are suffering.
Fredis Beleris was born in 1972 at the time of the omnipotence of the totalitarian regime of Enver Hoxha in Albania and grew up forging his soul with Greek ideals, hoping for the coming of the time when not only the tyrannical communist regime would fall, but also Vorio Epiri would joined the Greek national body.
In his recorded statement, he states, among other things, that "Rama's regime, with a flagrant indictment and a farce trial, has already kept me in prison for a year, so that I cannot protect the properties, interests and dignity of the Greeks of the area . (…) Give me the vote and the strength to continue the fight for the honor and dignity of the Hellenism of Vorio Epirus".
The area of Himara, like other areas where the Greek element dominates the resident population, does not belong to the minority area recognized by Tirana, which considers only 99 villages of the province of Gjirokastra to be Greek.
Rama argues that the Greeks of Himara are essentially "bilingual" Albanians, depriving the Greeks of Vorio Epirus of the rights granted by international conventions.
But it is not only their fight for the rights of the Greek minority that made Fredi Beleri stand out, he effectively supported the rights of all residents, against multinational enterprises and friends of the Rama regime, the Albanian oligarchs, who want to occupy the lands of Himarës, a fact that led to voting from the Muslim villages of the Municipality with the same name!
The head of the Party for Human Rights and deputy of Himara, Vangjeli Dule, explained in his statement the real reasons for the imprisonment of Fredi Beleri: "The interests in the area of Himara for Rama and his clients are great. Himara has largely turned into a laundromat for laundering the black money of E. Rama's friends, at the expense of the interests of the minority."
The only obstacle for all of them is Freddy Beleri! His entry into the European Parliament is more than a duty for the Greeks and those who vote ND take it for granted that they will give him strength to continue the fight for Vorio Epirin./MAST.AL
